I've always enjoyed writing. Mostly I've enjoyed making things up, creating wild prose. I kid myself that I'm a clever artist or an exceptional singer, but I find that my real passion lies in my tendency to place down random thoughts till they become verbose text. I dig the feeling of words flowing through me, out to spin, like the base elements of creation, into a discernible universe from the clutter.
This love of penning story or thought has naturally traveled across the interests of my life and, like any worthwhile pursuit, began to meld with them. No where does this seem to best fit than with my love of gaming. A hobby made for one such as I, it would seem. A joyous recreation that embraces my ability to imagine and create.
So to appease my need to write and my love of gaming, I've decided to play scribe and document my thoughts, feelings, adventures, experiments, and randomness concerning and surrounding the noble hobby that is gaming.
Before I go any further let me define what I mean by "Gaming." When I refer to this hobby I speak not of activities where folks huddle around a computer or television set. I don't mean the decorative or automated pleasures of a casino either. I am referring to the enlightening activity of taking a board game, cards, dice, miniatures, paper, pencil, and one's imagination, sitting at a table of some sort, and diving into the depths of random, creative potential stored in the dreamscapes of the human mind.
Join gaming groups, friends, random souls, and I, as the documentation of a hobbyist and his joy are presented to you in regular, or perhaps irregular, posts. May you be entertained, educated, or, god forbid, inspired. Enjoy!
